Cardinal

Prolouge:
A small town is burning and admist the chaos a woman is running from some masked soldiers. The woman is holding a baby with black hair, as she was becoming exhausted from running she had to think of a quick way to get away from the men. She was almost out of the burning town when she saw a shack that was untouched by the flames, in order to get in tere for safety though she would have to trick the soldiers some how. She ran in the opposite direction and hid behind a barrel. As the soldiers ran by they didn't notice her, so she got up and rn torwards the shack. Unfortunately one of the soldiers turned in time to see her and shoot, she dropped the baby and it started to wail. The soldiers picked up the baby and exited out of the village to their helicopter.


Chapter 1

Alex Nitegale is a 15 year old that lives in Sodor with his brothers, sister, Grandma, Mom, Dad, and pets. his brothers are Tj and Josh, Tj lives alone at the age of 17 and is a renowned ultima mage, Josh is quiet and mopes around, he is also 15, because he was dismissed from SOLDIER, an elite military force run by Shin-Ra. Alex's parents and grandma work most of the day so when Alex is not at Shin-Ra, where he is a 2nd Class SOLDIER, he is with Josh and their sister Chase. Casey, their beloved puppy, Misty and Vladimir, their darling cats, mostly wander outside coming back with an assortment of objects such as wallets and and keys.
Usually in Sodor Alex will hang out with his friends Konata Azuril and Miyuki Hikari. Konata moved to Sodor when she was 8 with her father, Alex met her sitting alone by the park and decided to show her around and have been friends ever since. Miyuki, who is ayear older than Alex, was freinds with Alex since he was 5 and went through a 'uppy love' phase when they were 9.


Alex bolted up matted in sweat still frightened from his nightmare. He turned to look at his alarm clock amazed at how early it was, 5:30 am. He turned to the other bed to see if Josh woke up but he was still sleep so Alex tip-toed out of bed into the kitchen. In the kitchen he got a drink of water and tried to calm down but with the nightmarish images going through his head it wasn't easy.
